We’re excited to share that this year’s Burbank Sanitary District Annual Clean-Up Day was a resounding success!
Held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, the event drew 538 visits across our various stations: including dumpsters, E-waste drop-off, compost pickup, and the Repair Café. In total, we collected a whopping 61.74 tons of waste, a strong show of participation from our community!
One of the highlights of the day was our compost giveaway. Residents were eager to claim their two free bags, and demand was so high we ran out before the end of the event!
A huge thank you to our amazing partners:
- Greenwaste for helping everything run smoothly and efficiently
- Repair Cafe for giving new life to residents’ items and keeping reusable goods out of the landfill
- 97 Boston Avenue for allowing us to use their parking lot for Repair Cafe
- Luther Burbank School for allowing us to use their parking lot for E-waste drop-off, and compost pickup
We’re so grateful to our community for making this day a success. We’re already looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year!
