Emergency Sewer Lateral Repair On Bailey Avenue

Update on December 03, 2024: The Communication Company is scheduled to relocate the cable on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Able Construction will replace the damaged sewer lateral with a new one on Thursday, December 5, 2024, or Friday, December 6, 2024

Background: On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, an emergency sewer lateral repair was conducted at 2330 Bailey Ave. The sewer lateral was damaged by a communication company during the installation of a communication cable. BSD staff performed a temporary repair to restore sewer service to the customer. District field staff distributed door tags to the affected neighbors to notify them about the repair and construction work. The District is currently working with the communication company to relocate the cable. Once the cable is moved, the damaged sewer lateral will be removed and replaced with a new service lateral.

At this time, we do not have the schedule for the removal of this cable. As soon as we receive this information, notifications will be sent to affected residents 48 hours before construction begins via door tags, and updates will be provided on the District’s website. During construction hours, heavy machinery and equipment will be in operation, which may limit street traffic. We will make every effort to maintain driveway access and allow for through traffic as much as possible. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and are committed to minimizing disruptions during the repair process. For any construction-related questions, please contact Rick Almondia at 408-483-0497.
